Youth Fest ’23 – Friday 22 September

We’re throwing a massive festival in Queens Park! Youth Fest is a FREE and fun event for young people!

This event is FREE! You don’t need to register to come along, but are welcome to if you’d like to be kept up to date about the event.

Friday 22 September, from 11am to 4pm

Queens Park, Moonee Ponds (near the stage area)

Live music by local performers all day! Groove out to April Farrugia, Brendan Rutledge, Crushed Lavender, False Belief, Henry Fleming, Mister Xenaux, Peter Westwood and The Rartel.

Create your own positive affirmation canvas. Book here or drop in on the day from 11:30am – 12:15pm.

Create a lip or body scrub. Book here or drop in on the day from 12:45pm – 1:30pm.

✂Collage workshop. Book here or drop in on the day from 2pm – 2:45pm.

Jewelery making workshop. Book here or drop in on the day from 3:15pm – 4pm.

Book into a pot plant decorating workshop here or a Seed Bomb workshop here. You can also drop in on the day!

Stalls selling jewellery, paintings, badges, greeting cards and more. Our stall holders are all young people aged 12-25, many local to Moonee Valley!

Mr Twisty Food Truck and Crepes for Change food truck + Coffee Rider Co. hot beverage cart. We’ll be giving away free food as prizes all day long!

Free henna, eco-glitter and hair chalk

This event was planned by young people in Moonee Valley City Council’s Avenue Productions group and funded through the FReeZA program, Engage and Youth Fest funding, Victorian Government initiatives. This all ages event is fully supervised, drug, alcohol, vaping and smoking free.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as traditional custodians of the land this event will take place on and we pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Elders, past, present and emerging. ⚫
